  • STOP the TPP Treaty
On November 13, 2013 wikileaks released further details on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) treaty. If passed everyone in the United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Chile, Singapore, Peru, Vietnam, New Zealand and Brunei Darussalam could have the following consequences:
-Because additional resources and personnel are required, the ISP will make access to the Internet more expensive. That means you'll have to pay even MORE for your internet service. So, you pay more you get more right? Wrong
-Experts say, “kids could be sent to jail for downloading” and whole families could be kicked off the Internet. In addition to the 'true' cyber criminals, hard working citizens will become targets.
-Censorship will run rampant and our freedom of expression will become a luxury.
-Internet connections will be monitored/policed. Though this may positively prevent child exploitation and other 'true' crimes, it will also prevent users from doing benign tasks.

This is a bit of an older article, from February 07, 2012, but it explains what the TPP is all about:

It says 9 countries but this recent Wikileaks release has 12 countries documented:
